Our initiative, which supports the digital and green transition in the manufacturing and traditional industry sectors through innovative training resources, is delighted to announce its growing synergy with the NewEcoSmart project. Both projects share a common goal of fostering digital and green skills, yet their complementary focuses amplify their impact across different sectors and communities.
The TwinRevolution project aims to equip VET (Vocational Education and Training) students and current workers in manufacturing and traditional industries with the necessary digital and green competencies for a rapidly changing world. By developing interactive and innovative training tools, the project enables learners to navigate digital and green advancements, thus preparing them for sustainable careers in modern industry.
Similarly, the NewEcoSmart (NES) project is a pioneering effort to revitalize rural areas, targeting adults aged 45+, SMEs, and micro-firms. NewEcoSmart emphasizes social innovation, equipping individuals and businesses in rural settings with the digital and green skills needed to adapt to modern transitions. Both projects share the belief that sustainable development relies on preparing workers and communities for the future through innovative training and support systems.
This alignment offers a tremendous opportunity for TwinRevolution and NewEcoSmart to leverage each other’s resources. By connecting TwinRevolution’s advanced training methodologies with NewEcoSmart’s focus on rural innovation, both projects can enhance their scope. For instance, training resources developed within TwinRevolution can be adapted to meet the needs of rural populations targeted by NewEcoSmart, while NewEcoSmart’s real-world social innovation projects provide testbeds for TwinRevolution’s training modules in sectors such as the habitat industry.
As part of its mission to drive social innovation in rural areas, NewEcoSmart has launched its Open Call for innovative solutions. The call seeks projects that address the green and digital transformation and empower adults aged 45+, SMEs, and micro-firms through social innovation. This initiative offers a unique opportunity for solution providers, SMEs, and micro firms to demonstrate their solutions in real-world settings and contribute to the sustainable development of rural Europe.
A total of €49,500 in funding is available, with three grants (one per pilot site in Spain, Portugal, and Italy) worth up to €16,500 each. Projects should focus on enhancing digital and green skills, promoting sustainable practices, and encouraging the adoption of circular business models in rural areas.
Don’t lose the opportunity of participating in this open call which will provide an excellent opportunity to demonstrate impactful solutions while contributing to the broader goal of fostering innovation and inclusivity in Europe’s rural regions.
